China just underbid my company Raytheon (4th largest US defense contractor) for a 4 billion dollar contract for defense missiles for Turkey. We had Patriot missiles (the missiles we make) in Turkey the whole year just in case the war in Syria breaks out into other regions. China, who does nothing for the world, comes in and underbids our company just to take business away from America. They just don't make all of our products but now they are making our allies weapons systems. Well I don't think Turkey is much of an ally now since they used us. Well now my company is about to layoff 1000 people. 1000 good paying jobs down the tubes to the Chinese...America...on the decline. Just have to vent. Oh yeah, Congress is about to shut down over trivial crap. Good work fellas.

Hey Fellow Managers. April is national Autism month and Tues the 2nd is national
Autism Day. Autism affects 1 in 96 children. 1 in 56 boys. Autism has no medicine
and no cure. When you have ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) you have it your whole
life so it is a life long struggle for those who have it and those who care for them.

I have a 5 Year old son with ASD. It is constant battle day by day to help him deal
with his illness. Besides having ASD though he is a happy, healthy typical boy. His
Brain is wired differently is the only way to describe it. 2 year level on problem solveling
and copeing with change but 10 year level on letter/numbers and a better memory
than any adult I know. We wouldn't trade our little man for anything though,his smile
and laughter when accomplishing something simple for us but difficult for him makes it
all worth it.

If you know someone with ASD or someone dealing with it please wear Blue tomorrow
to support them and the efforts being made to help control this illness.

Former congressman Patrick Kennedy recently lamented on CNN that there is no more civil discourse in politics. I believe that is because people cannot distinguish the man from the office. Look at the things that people say about both Barack Obama and Stephen Harper that are completely unacceptable. Both the left and the right are guilty of not understanding the basic concept "Respect the Office, if not the Man".

Before you trash your own country's leader with vitriol usually reserved for serial killers, you may want to remember that millions of people saw something in this person and voted for them. Just because YOU didn't see it doesn't make those millions of people wrong and once the election is over it's time to lick your wounds and rest up for the next.

I just un-friended someone for classless behaviour and think I'll be doing a lot more of that from now on. Time to raise the bar and disagree like civilized human beings.

I will always remember where I was when it happened. And now I've spent the last 9 years of my life in the US Army because of what some religious fanatics did. I don't regret a moment of it, I do it in the memory of those who died at ground zero, I do it so my three kids hopefully will not ever see something like that happen in their life time. All the thanks goes not to those of us who have came and gone from combat alive but with the souls of my brothers and sisters in arms, reguardless of their branch of service who are not here with me.
