estus grew up far out in the sticks, but moved into the big city to earn a few bucks. The little man took a job working at Riblet's House of Good Eatin' in the kitchen, and did not even try out the boxing ring until dared into it one day. To everyone's surprise, Festus destroyed his sparring partner in no time flat. After training for only two months, everyone agreed Festus was ready to go pro.
Festus has had some difficulties in the ring after his win for the US South Strawweight Regional Title. But power and speed continues to be his biggest assests, and his opponents always seem to come away the worse for wear. There is a lot of excitement going on in the US South Straws, and Festus continues to be a big part of that.
As he was qouted as saying after a recent fight, "I am what I am, a slugger. This is a warrior's sport, and people are going to get hurt fighting against me. The Judges haven't always been impressed, but I will keep at it until I get the Regional Title again. There are quite a few great defensive boxers out there in the region right now, and I have struggled against them in the ring. But be assured that my manager Riblet is working hard to find a flaw in those defenses. It is just a matter of time before I hold the championship trophy once again."
