Rock comes from a thick boxing
bloodline. His great-great grandfather, "Bones" was
the World Bare Knuckles champion from 1895-1897 and retired with
a record of 231-70. Rock's grandfather, "Sugar Ray",
was the most dominate fighter of the 1950's and 60's. Sugar Ray
Quarry was Middleweight Champ for from 1949-1958 and again from
1961-1962 before retiring with a career record of 71-2-1. Rock's
father, Jerry Quarry, was a popular heavyweight that fought in
the 1960's and 1970's. Although Quarry never achieved Champion
status, he remained one of the top fighters of his era.
Rock Quarry is hoping to continue
in his family's footsteps. He has already showed great promise
and desire. Before turning pro on 30 April 2003, Rock won
amateur titles in the Middleweight and Welterweight divisions. A
more promising boxer has not been seen in many years and his
work with legendary trainer Joe Buddah is the buzz of the boxing
world. |
