Fighter Description
Former 4 divisional champion under Fong.
With the world champions rating brought down, I reckon he can still win a few welter belt despite his poor numbers.
Have fun!
Huge One started his amateur career on 26th September 2001. After half a year of
fighting in the amateur ranking, he was recruited
by Fong to compete in the big league. In the course of his 48-fight professional career,
Huge One had fought 13 times for the world title (in 5 different divisions), winning 5 of them (in 4 different divisions).
Huge One had fought the best in TBG, these are the few fights that stood out in his career:
-
Fought the legendary 28 times World Champion Earl "Daredevil" Edwards for the World Middleweight Title.
Unfortunately (and unsuprisingly), Huge One lost the fight.
-
Won the World Middleweight Title at the twilight of his
career. Huge One scored a double knock-downs in the final round of his title fight against Eicca "Apocalyptica" Toppinen to win the fight by a narrow 113-112 majority decision.
-
Challenged the legendary John Galt for the Cruiserweight title, while
weighing only 158lbs. Huge One was KO'd by the stronger champ and the fight cut short Huge's
career, but he managed to break Galt's jaw in the fight and caused some panic in the champ's camp
for a short time.
-
Caused an upset by KO'ing Hummer to win the world Light-Heavyweight title (at 154lbs).
-
Winning the world Welterweight title at his second attempt, after defeating
Stephane "Le Poete" Ouellet, avenging his lost to Ouellet earlier in his pro career.
-
The three battles against the feared Brazillian slugger Dominic the Demon DiCarlo (in 3 different divisions). The then
undefeated DiCarlo knocked Huge One out in their first fight to defend his Lightweight title.
Huge One later knocked DiCarlo out in their welterweight bout in a revenge match half a year later, and again in their middleweight bout toward the end of their career.
-
Fought the great lightweight Fiat600 three times (2 for the lightweight title). Although
Huge was beaten in all three fights, he learned more in those three fights than any other fights in
his career.
-
Winning his first world title after defeating Randall McWeight in lightweight.
-
Other memorable fights include fights against former world
world champions
Koshonne Enosti, Dalton Bell, Toby "Goley" Sanford, Len Scrafter, Just "Not" Ducky,
Youngblood, Jackhammer Jones, Andre "Red Light" Racicot and a fight against all-time-great Ultra Outlaw.
