After a successful amature career winning several Golden Glove Championships in between the years of 1994-1995. He then won the 1996 Olympic Gold Medal in Atlanta. All of these titles came in the Bantamweight Division.He is also the first fighter in "EKO" history to win FOUR different world titles. He is a two time EKO FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPION,EKO BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPION,EKO FLYWEIGHT CHAMPION and EKO STRAWWEIGHT CHAMPION .He was also voted as the all-time best Featherweight in the Featherweight Weekly and voted into S.Brawlers EKO Hall of Fame .
