Fighter Description

Ascended to the throne of the Assyrian Empire in 732 B.C. In his first action, he swept into the Syrian city of Sabarahin and utterly destroyed it. His reign then saw peace, until some time around 726 B.C. when the kings of Egypt, Mucri, Israel, and Tyre suddenly refused to pay tribute. In a tidal wave of fury, Shalmaneser lead the Assyrian armies south from Ninevah into greater Phoenicia and crushed the four dissidents. In particular, a brutal war was fought against the Israelites, who saw surrender to the Assyrians as a terrible option.
