Max grew up on the streets of Bucktown Chicago. His earliest fights were against the local Gang-bangers who gave him a hard time for being a white kid in a largely mexican neighborhood. He saved the initial money he needed from stealing the wallets of the gangsters foolish enough to take him on.

He wears Red trunks with white trim, red Everlast gloves, black boxing high tops with red and white stripes, and has his family coat of arms tatooed on his left shoulder.
